At the two-day event learn how to:
Connect – Gain insight into your own attachment style, how it can impact your relationships with your children. Learn ways to strengthen attachments with children from hard places through attunement, nurturing touch, eye contact, playful engagement and giving voice.
Empower – Learn ways to empower children from hard places through providing a structured environment.
Correct – Learn proactive and responsive strategies such as offering choices, compromises, sharing power and using life value terms to help children with challenging behaviors.
Attendees will learn tools to better understand the needs of these precious children that have had difficult beginnings, in order to help children heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
Conference workbooks are available for purchase ($8) or a link will be provided for a free download.
Foster parents will receive training certificates at the end of each day and Continuing Education Credits for professionals will also be offered (there is a seperate fee and registration process for professionals seeking these hours).
We hope you can join us for this powerful conference and valuable training as we continue to press on in living out James 1.27 and caring for the vulnerable children of our state.
